Marketing and Spam - T-ARA Music

For those who are legitimate business owners who advertise online through email marketing campaigns, making bulk email sending illegal could seriously hurt their business. Spam blockers, as they become more advanced may be already blocking marketing email that a customer has requested. Unfortunately, spammers who are trying to sneak past a spam blocker or filter are ruining the Internet marketing business. But there are ways to conduct an online marketing campaign and maintain business.

Always use a simple, yet honest subject line when sending email. Since many spam blockers check common subject phrases that spammers use, using a simple phrase will help a person's chances at sending a legitimate email. Placing the company's name in the subject line will usually work. Spammers are also doing the same, so while this is not a guarantee, the spam blocker will probably let the email through. In order to sound convincing and make customers comfortable that they are dealing with a legitimate company, put the company address in the email. Most spammers only put in an email address. This will help people distinguish a real email from a fake one. Spam blockers are only able to read letters. These days, many spammers are using pictures to get past the filters and into email boxes. This means that filters will be more advanced in a few years and will be able to read pictures as well as letters.

If a customer does not want to be on the list anymore, offer a way to unsubscribe from the list. If a person keeps getting email, they will suspect that the company is a spammer and might complain about them. As spam blockers become more advanced, they will be blocking much more. This is unfortunate, but since there are other ways to advertise one's product or service, they should be looking for alternative ways to promote their business.
